Hello dear followers! It’s been a while since I’ve updated so here I am to…um…update!

First off, I would like to tell you all the FABULOUS news I received early today! My short story Dear Prudence will be published in the Jan/Feb 2014 issue of Down in the Dirt magazine! I’m so very excited to have my first short story published! It will also be available online later this week so I will be sure to post that link for you when it is up.

In other writing news, I have yet to get any feedback from my beta readers. I have since given up on them and decided I need new friends. KIDDING! (well, only a little…)

I’ve joined The NC Writer’s Network and am looking forward to stalking the website for updates. I also joined Duotrope which is AMAZING for submitting stories and poetry. I suggest every writer use it. It costs a small fee but totally worth the cost!

In writing news, I am working on my dystopian novel still but haven’t given it much thought. I wrote Dear Prudence and then started working on my newest short story which is an erotica short story. I’ve never written erotica so we will see how this goes! It is titled Searching for the Hook. I also wrote a flash fiction piece I’ve submitted to one place called Fuck Melinda… Literally. 

As for my novel, I am waiting a little longer to edit more. I want to see it with fresh eyes. I actually had a dream the other night that helped me develop another new YA novel so that is currently brewing in my head!

So many stories… so little time.

Now it’s time to get back to writing and back to planning my son’s first birthday party that is Sunday. I can’t believe I’ll have a one year old on Friday. Time flies!
