Baby Two: 34 Weeks Pregnant

34 weeks pregnant

Baby Lamotta is due September 28th, 2017!

Today is 8/18/17 which means I’m 34 weeks, 1 day pregnant!

Baby is the size of a basketball hoop.

I’ve gained… if my home scale is correct, I may have gained 24 pounds. We will see next week at my midwife appt.

Midwife appointment this week? Nope – next Thursday!

Current mood: Stressed out. I came into work today to a million things I had to fix. But on the house front, I’m a little relieved because baby girl’s room is finally painted and I can start putting things where they go.

Cravings: I stress eat donuts on free breakfast Friday at work… so that’s where I’m at at this point. During the week I stress each french fries or baked potatoes. It’s a weird life, y’all.

Food Aversions: Pizza. Let’s not even talk about it.

The yucky stuff: Terrible feet and ankle swelling that makes me either numb or in pain. Constipation is still bad a lot of the day, but heartburn seems to be getting slightly better. I also am not sleeping very well.

Currently rocking: Maternity jeans and a maternity tee. It’s casual Friday at work.

The best thing about pregnancy this week? Our baby shower is tomorrow and we have a birth class Sunday. I can’t wait!

What’s different about baby #2 than with Jude’s pregnancy? Not having my mom around is hard. I keep wanting to ask her things and it makes me sad all over again that I can’t. It’s also hard not to have her when I know I’m having a little girl. It makes this pregnancy mean something so different. This is my chance to build a relationship with my little girl, like my mom did with me. I have this opportunity to have a mother/daughter relationship again, just in a different way. It’s scary and exciting all at the same time. I wish my mom was here to see it.

I’m nervous about: Getting the rest of the house cleared out and then set up how I like before I go into labor.

Other thoughts: I’m super excited to hopefully get our maternity pics back soon. I also can’t wait to see some of my favorite people tomorrow at the shower. I wish more people could make it, but I’m glad I have the ones that can in my life.
