Baby Lamotta is due September 28th, 2017!
Today is 5/4/17 which means I’m 19 weeks pregnant! Woo! May the fourth be with you! (I don’t know why I said that. I don’t even like Star Wars. Proceed.)
Baby is the size of a gameboy!
Baby is a… have you heard? Have you heard?! SHE’S A PRINCESS!! IT’S A GIRL! IT’S A GIRL! SHOUT IT FROM THE DANG ROOF TOPS! (I’m excited – can you tell?) We had our Superhero or Princess themed gender reveal last Thursday night with friends and family. Jordan made this awesome castle with a “pow” entrance and when he punched through the pow, it revealed a girl princess outfit! So exciting! I’ll be writing a dedicated post about the reveal but in the mean time, feel free to watch a quick video here of the reveal: Gender Reveal Video
Midwife appointment this week? I have my next appointment with Baby & Co on Tuesday.
Current mood: Happy, happy, happy!
Cravings: The cravings are getting better. But I still want sweets all the time.
Food Aversions: Pizza. Can’t a girl get a break?! *cue all the tears*
The yucky stuff: Having a hard time with baby being so low. I have to pee all the time and it gets painful even. And I’ve finally hit the stage in pregnancy where I pee myself a little every time I sneeze. *sigh*
Currently rocking: Today I’ve got on white maternity pants and a tee that I bought off of a Facebook maternity clothes resale group. I’ve gotten addicted to buying and selling on those groups lately!
The best thing about pregnancy this week? Finding out she’s a girl and buying ALL THE THINGS that are girly. I also got an awesome pregnancy box from bump boxes (www.bumpboxes.com) and I’ve been using my belly butter like crazy!
What’s different about baby #2 than with Jude’s pregnancy? Food cravings and aversions are an issue. And the whole being sick the whole first trimester.
I’m nervous about: Going broke buying all these cute girl clothes. Kidding. Kind of.
Other thoughts: I miss my mom. A lot. Even more so with mother’s day, her birthday, and the anniversary of her death coming up this month and next. I’m extra hormonal so that may be making it worse but honestly just not being able to talk to her during all of this has been really hard. And while I have a few friends who lost their moms recently or when they were younger, none of them are moms and can relate to this part of it. So I feel kind of isolated in my feelings, unable to really talk to anyone about how I’m feeling. So I’m taking it one day at a time, but damn if it’s not really f’n hard sometimes.
Here’s a couple fun pics from the gender reveal! Don’t worry – I’ll be doing an entire post dedicated to our fun Superhero or Princess gender reveal! 🙂 Coming soon!
