Baby Two: 35 Weeks Pregnant

35 weeks pregnant

Baby Lamotta is due September 28th, 2017!

Today is 8/25/17 which means I’m 35 weeks, 1 day pregnant!

Baby is the size of a kid’s backpack.

I’ve gained… 22.5 pounds! Did I actually lose weight?!

Midwife appointment this week? Yep! I had one yesterday with Alexa. This was my second time seeing her and she was able to draw my blood on the first time which is great for me since I’m so terrified of needles. We went over what to expect this next month and when to call the birth center. She gave me some advice regarding primrose oil so I can start to loosen up at 37 weeks to help prepare for baby girl. I can’t believe anytime after two weeks from yesterday, I could be going into labor! WHOA, time flies!

Current mood: Happy! The house is a mess but Hattie’s room is finally close to being DONE. Just need some toy bins and a bookshelf and curtains and then I can start putting things on the walls. I’m so excited.

Cravings: Just a lot of junk. Can’t wait to go back to healthy eating though. Just wish this little babe wanted to eat healthy right now!

Food Aversions: Pizza forever. *tears*

The yucky stuff: I go from being constipated one minute to having to poop ALL the time the next. I pee what feels like every five seconds. I have horrible heartburn (although it’s not quite as frequent). I get this shooting pain when I walk sometimes that feels like someone is stabbing my urethra. Sciatica on and off. I cry at the mention of something sweet or sad. I can’t eat a lot because I get uncomfortable from lack of belly space. I’m moody and sensitive. I can barely fit into anything.

Currently rocking: Maternity dress. Yesterday I found a pair of maternity jeggings in my closet and wore those and MAN did that feel good.

The best thing about pregnancy this week? At our midwife appointment, we got to hear her heartbeat and then they did a quick ultrasound to double check that baby girl was head down. Jude thought that was super cool – and I did too. I’m glad we don’t have to worry about a breech baby!

What’s different about baby #2 than with Jude’s pregnancy? Some of the “yucky” symptoms, and the fact that I’m preparing a reallllllly girly nursery. Fun stuff!

I’m nervous about: Giving birth, duh. I mean, would I be human if I wasn’t?!

Other thoughts: I can’t wait to get this house ready for baby girl. Hopefully she stays in there a bit longer so we can be finished before she gets here.
