Today is 8/24/20 which means I’m 37 weeks, 1 day! FULL TERM, YALL!
Baby Lamotta is due 9/13/20!
Baby is the size of a honeydew melon!
Baby Lamotta is a GIRL!
I’ve gained… 26.4 pounds as of Thursday’s appointment.
Midwife appointment this week? I had one on Thursday with Stacie. She gave me different exercises to try to get baby girl to flip since she’s still posterior. I also did the GBS swab (they let me myself). We also chatted about the requirements for getting COVID testing when I get to the hospital and she made me feel guilty for not wanting to do it.
Current mood: I’m stressed out about birthing in a hospital still. There was a small glimmer of hope that maybe I could just free-birth at home and head there after but I found out I’m GBS positive again so now I for sure have to go while in labor to get the antibiotics. I’m bummed. I feel like so much of this pregnancy has been robbed of me because of covid.
Cravings: Ice all day long.
Food Aversions: Mexican. And now anything that could cause heartburn like spicy foods.
Currently rocking: An olive green maternity tank and maternity shorts.
TMI: the heartburn has come on so damn strong this week. The past five nights I’ve had to sleep sitting up or else I wake up with stomach acid in my mouth. It’s gross and so uncomfortable!
The best thing about pregnancy this week? Baby girl moving around so much. She started dancing while I was playing Taylor Swift in the tub! I have had some trouble bonding with this pregnancy because of covid and life and I feel like I’m finally soaking in this precious time when she’s still all mine.
What’s different about baby #3 than with Jude and Hattie’s pregnancies? I am not ready for her to come out!
I’m nervous about: having a hospital birth!
Other thoughts: I finally finished her nursery! Blog post to come. 🙂
