TAKE THAT, NOVEL!

I just hacked off about 6000 words of my NA novel.

I kinda want to jump off a cliff. I was more than 1/4 done. I was over 25,000 words. 

And now, I’m under 20,000. 

I want to cry.

But I did what I needed to do to fix a major plot problem. I got back on track. I’m headed in the right direction.

Am I the first person who has to LOWER their words written for the day at Camp NaNoWriMo? 🙁

I doubt it. Well, I hope at least. 

So. Depressed.

 

SIGH.

    We’ve all been there. I personally keep the snippets and see if I can do something with them later, like a side-story/chapter.

      I kept it in hopes I’ll find a spot for part of it at least at some point. But I doubt I ever will. It’s funny because one of the scenes I cut is actually pretty similar to a scene I cut out of my YA novel. Maybe one day it will actually work in a book I write!
